Music Access

I was jus thinking about the many various ways in which we are able to access music today. If we can look back when music was only accessed through the radio and each household has only one radio. Usually they gathered together to listen to the radio music. As time goes on the television was introduced. Music became more interesting because it was now accompanied by visual images. However, it is still interesting to listen to music on a radio.

My point is many people have access to music. For example, today many households have more than one radio and television. You find a radio or a television in the kitchen, bedrooms, and sitting rooms. Most people own DVD players; therefore they play music they like at anytime. Also most radios are capable for playing cassettes and CDs. Not leaving cell phones and personal computers that made us access music everywhere we go. Increasingly, many people have cell phones which are capable for music so that they can download music to their cell phones. Even in lectures you will find students listening to music from their cell phones through ear phones. Go out on the street you will find the same thing, there people who really cannot survive without music.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is the process of recording pictures by means of capturing light on a light-sensitive medium, such as a film or electronic sensor. People take pictures to keep particular moments and events Portrait and wedding photography, photographs made and sold directly to the end user of the image. Photography as a usable process goes back to the 1820s with the development of chemical photography. The first permanent photography was an image produced in 1826 by the French inventor Nicéphore  Niépce. However, the picture took eight hours to expose; All photography was Originally black and white. Even after color film was readily available, black-and-white photography continued to dominate for decades, due to its lower cost and its “classic” photographic look. Color photography was explored beginning in the mid 1800s One of the early methods of taking color photos was to use three cameras. Each camera would have a color filter in front of the lens. This technique provides the photographer with the three basic channels required to recreate a color image in a darkroom or processing plant. Thanks to New media and Technologically advancement we now take digital pictures using our cameras and cell phones and download them into our computers. Photography is now being commercialized, We now took photography for advertising purposes which are taken to sell the product or service. There are also fashion and glamour photography which incorporates models. Crime Scene Photography: This type of photography consists of photographing scenes of crime such as robberies and murders A black and white camera or an infrared camera may be used to capture specific details. Photography that is used in industries and institutions to check if people are behaving and are not stealing from the company .THOBEKA MBATHA

Music and Society

Music in society plays an important role like it can relief stress. Different people play different music at different times depending on their moods. For example, if someone is depressed, he/she is likely to play meaningful music (e.g. gospel, slow jams, etc.). In this way music can heal. Some people are also identified by the music they like or the music they play. Usually house, kwaito and R&B music is mostly associated with youth whereas older people prefer gospel music (though some people prefer other different music).

Music is important in everywhere people are gathering for different occasion. Go to church it’s not only about preaching, but also music. Go to parties it all about music. You can’t just invite people to your and feed them only with food meat (anything you can think of about the party), they need beating music. A party is a party because of music, otherwise it would be boring.

Again what bring people to night clubs? It is not only the drinks, but the music played by the DJs there. After a busy week students mostly go to the night clubs during the weekend to relief stress. A world without music is unimaginable. The world would be absolutely boring without music.

The problem with music is that even the criminals play good music, so that they can’t be easily identified.
